Operational Area
By installing inexpensive wireless relay points you can create your own wireless network which allows staff to roam anywhere on site whilst entering and viewing stock control information.

Which devices can be used? (PDA)
You can use almost any PDA (hand held computer) with ProducePak Mobile Stock Control subject to some minimum specifications. Most PDA’s have full colour touch screens which staff simply “Point and Click” to enter and view data. Unlike other stock control systems, ProducePak’s Mobile Stock Control system will work on hundreds of devices from different hardware manufacturers - from the Acer n11 PDA, Ipaq, Dell, to the Symbol ‘ruggardised’ PDA. Shown below is the Acer n11 device currently in use by ProducePak clients.

Mobile Stock Control is Easy to Use!

The entire interface is simply point and click, and non computer users can learn the system in only a few hours. The PDA or mobile device can be mounted to a forklift, carried in your pocket, even mounted to a wall or door. You can have as many mobile devices in use as you choose, you can even use them at distant sites that can be on the other side of the country. Because of the simple “Point and Click” interface, packing shed staff become accustomed to the Mobile Stock Control system within hours; some staff don’t even need any training.

ProducePak Mobile Stock Control has hardware requirements, we can assist you in the selection of hardware vendors if required.

Remote Site Access
If your business has remote sites (eg: one main packing facility and multiple storage sites across the state) you can implement Mobile Stock Control at the remote sites and control the movement of stock between the remote sites and your main site, whilst remaining informed and in control of stock availability.
